Sorry to disappoint but I don't have much new to report with my classrooms. I spent most of yesterday rearranging heavy furniture and figuring out a floor plan for both rooms. Thankfully, my amazing sister helped me! I haven't even started to unpack or decorate yet but that is planned for tomorrow. Today I'm working on figuring out what I want to do with my bulletin boards.
Does anyone have tips on how to use a chalkboard as a bulletin board?! I want to do my calendar stuff on a chalkboard covered in paper but I'm unsure how to mount/hang everything!
The pics you've been DYING to see (I know..........):

I will have a comfy chair in that back corner with a lamp! |

Be HONEST! I want to know what you think. This is my first time setting up a (big) classroom so I'm having some trouble figuring out everything. If you have any ideas to make my classroom(s) better, please let me know!
Now to the doggies. Earlier this week we dog sat for my mother-in-law. Here is Roxy when she arrived (so sad and homesick) and an hour later (loving our house)!
I'm sure all y'all (why is that so fun to say?) have been dying to know what my pups are up to! While I've been getting ready for school, Dixie has been resting and Chip has been enjoying his new toy (which we refer to as "nubbins")!
I hope everyone is enjoying their week! Give me some honest opinions about my classrooms so far!

You may be able to use magnets to keep your things up on your chalkboard/bulletin board. :)
OMG, your pups are adorable! Still working on the follow widget, I re-added it and can't tell if it works or not, my browser is all screwy right now. You can always click "follow" in the upper left corner near the blogger search.
Oh and if the magnets don't work, you could always use Sticky Tack. Some chalkboards are non-magetized and some are. Maybe you could use both depending on how much stuff you put up.
I use 3M hooks (the white ones) on the chalkboard/white boards in my room. They do not leave a residue when you pull them off and always stay up all year.

i cover by chalkboards with fabric using a glue gun and i use the glue gun to attach whatever i need to the bulletin board. at the end of the year or if you want to change the board--just take everything off. the glue doesn't stay on the chalkboard and it easily peels off of the fabric. good luck!
If the chalkboard is magnetic, I would get magnet tape for the backs for what you want to hang! (Thats what I did!)
If it isn't there is the removable tape - I forget what it is called but Ive gotten that too- and it worked! :)
Good luck!
I agree with the glue gun idea to hang up background paper or fabric and borders, then use magnets if it is magnetic. If not, velcro dots are great, because you can just take off one item and replace it with another
