I somehow lost my pictures and haven't had the time (or desire) to try to fix it. SO, I created a brand spankin' new blog!

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. I'm sure some of you have noticed that my blog looks pretty bad lately! My husband was messing around with my Picasa web albums and accidentally deleted the album of my blog pictures so that's why almost NO pictures (including my header) are showing up!

I'm working on getting the pictures back but Carson is also keeping me busy. Here's a few pictures to thank you all for understanding. :)

I had seen these before and thought they were a little weird. Some of my friends raved about them so I decided to try one out (they're only $12 on Amazon)! Carson is OBSESSED. He can hold onto "Wubbs" (creative name, huh?) and the feet are weighed slightly so the paci won't fall off his chest.

Here is Mommy's homemade version of his Wubbanub...just as cool, right?!

Please note: I was not compensated in any way for this post. We just really like the Wubbanub! :)

1. How long have you been blogging? And what got you started on blogging? Has
your blog changed?
I started blogging almost 2 years ago (weird)! I started my blog the first year I got a teaching job so I could save memories from my first year and also share ideas with other teachers. My blog has changed from a mainly educational/teaching blog to a mommy blog! I still plan on including stuff about school but right now it's the summer anyway!

2. Did you go to college? If so where, and what did
you study?
I went to a small college in Columbus, Ohio called Ohio Dominican University. I studied Early Childhood Education. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Education and I also started graduate work there. I am licensed to teach PreK-5 and also Reading K-12.

3. Where have you traveled?
Even though I love to travel, I'm not very well traveled because we end up visiting places we love over and over! Here are some of our fav spots:
4. If you won the lottery, what
would be the first thing you would buy?
It depends on how much we won. I would either get new floors/counters at our house or buy a new house!

5. What are your 3 biggest pet
peeves?
one uppers, people who argue EVERYTHING and refuse to admit they're wrong, bad drivers
6. What is your favorite movie?
It's hard to pick just one. I love sappy chick flicks like The Notebook but I also love comedies like Wedding Crashers!

7. What is your drink of choice;
wine, beer, or liquor. Or Water, Soda, Tea?
If I'm drinking alcohol (which I haven't done in almost a year!) I like wine (red=cabernet sauvignon, white=moscato or riesling). I also like hard cider (woodchuck and strongbow). As far as what I'm drinking lately....ice water and lots of juice, I love juice!

8. What is something you
enjoy to do when you have me time?
Read, catch up on my DVR, spend a day outside soaking up the sun (haven't been able to do that much at all this summer, it's too hot for little Carson!)

9. If you could have a $10,000
shopping spree to one store, which store would it be?
Target. I freaking love that store, they have everything! No joke, I'm there at least 3x a week. Embarrassing? Not at all! I also love Amazon, so easy!

10. Share with us an
embarrassing moment of your past? Or present.
Hmm, this is hard! I'll have to get back to you all on that...maybe I can do a special post when I think of some embarrassing moments!

11. What day would
you love to relive again?
Right now he's napping so this is going to be mostly a picture post. (Isn't that the type that we all love anyway?!)
I found this idea on Pinterest a while ago and knew I had to do it. I love how it turned out! Here is the original pin:

Here is my version:

I made this collage so we could have a digital version but I actually printed each picture and bought a 3-slot frame to give to Nick. Cost of project = cheap! The D and A were $2.99 each at JoAnn's and the frame was about $7 at Kohls. We already had a plain white onesie and the "backdrop" is just a blue blanket!

I also bought him a pair of shoes he's been wanting for a while. They're *so* weird but he has wanted them forever!

I must be crazy, right? I'm actually just letting Carson nap while we wait for Nick to get home because we're going to church tonight to get information on Carson's baptism!

I realize this link-up is a day late, but I figured I'd do it anyway since my blog has been lacking in the education department lately!!
For those of you that don't know, I've accepted a new position for next school year. Drumroll please......

I will no longer be a traveling teacher! Wahoo! This takes so much stress off! I'm going to be working back in the building where I taught during the 2010/2011 school year and I'm SO excited because I'll be working with a great team! I'll no longer be teaching kindergarten and reading intervention, I'll now be FIRST GRADE! I'm really sad to leave my old positions and especially sad to leave my kindergarten team but I'm very excited at the same time! I have a lot of work to do this summer to prepare for the new adventure but I feel so blessed and excited!

I'm linking up with Teaching in High Heels. If you haven't checked out her blog, do it NOW! She has tons of great ideas :)

I have a lot of teaching goals for this summer. I figure if I write them down, maybe I'll hold myself more accountable :)

Pack up my TWO classrooms from last year and move it all to my NEW classroom for next year! (This will be time consuming seeing that Carson will be with me, but I need to get it done)!

Start deciding how I want to set up/decorate my classroom. This is always fun for me and it will be fun to decorate a new space.

Start pinning some 1st grade ideas. Since I'm moving into a new grade level this year, I'll be teaching a whole new curriculum. This is fun and scary at the same time, but I'm excited to get new ideas put into place!

I'm keeping my goal list fairly short b/c I know the things on my list will take a while and even when I'm done, I'll have 8 more things on the list. That's just the way I am!

If you have ANY ideas for a first grade classroom, send them my way! I'm excited to start a new journey for next year. :)

After over 9 years together, I can't even begin to think of how to sum up my relationship with Nick. I'll try to do a super short version for you all!

We met back in 2002. (This was from Halloween 2003, none of my older pics are digital and this is a picture of a picture!)

We built a house together in 2005. Home Sweet Home! (This is from the year we moved in...our landscaping is so tiny...that tree on the left covers our bedroom window upstairs now!)

We got engaged in 2006 (on the beach)! Nick proposed during an evening walk on the beach in Fort Myers, FL (one of our fav vacation spots) with a LIGHT-UP ring box. Perfect? yes!

We got married in 2008.

We found out we were pregnant in 2011.

We had our first son in 2012. Welcome to the world, Carson!!

A lot has happened over the past 9+ years, but the one thing that is the same is that I keep falling more and more in love with him! (Mushy sappy, I know!)

I'm so happy to have found my best friend and even happier that we get to spend the rest of our days together. Nick, you make me so happy and I feel so lucky to call you MINE!

Our induction is scheduled for 8am and I am SO anxious and nervous but mostly EXCITED! I can't wait to meet Carson Anthony!

I feel like everything at school is ready. I don't get a sub for my reading position so I had to pack up my room (talk about a pain at 39w pregnant)! I did as good as I could and might have to go back right after school ends. As far as my kindergarten class, I have everything ready for my sub: report cards are done, plans are done, classroom is organized, kids are ready!

According to the Bump, Carson is about the size of a
Watermelon at 6.2-9.2lbs. Eek...let's hope he's closer to 6-7lbs rather than 9! Baby Center says that Carson weighs as much as a Mini Watermelon at a little over 7lbs. I like that estimate better than 9.2lbs! Anyone have any guesses on Carson's length/weight?!?! I'm so curious and have NO idea what to expect! I'm thinking high 7's to 8lbs maybe and around 20.5-21"...?? Total stab in the dark there.
She's happy with the amount of movement we've reported and he still has random dance sessions so I'm happy with that!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Food cravings: Still love ice in all of my drinks!
At my 39week appointment I was over 3cm ("3+" according to Dr. G) and 80% effaced. She also stripped my membranes to get things going!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Symptoms: BACK PAIN! We had a zoo field trip Tuesday and after being on my feet and walking the ENTIRE time (except to eat a quick lunch), my back was KILLING me. I felt like an 80 year old woman. It still hurts today but surprisingly, it's better when I'm on my feet. I feel it the most after sitting or laying down. Weird.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Wedding rings on or
off? Off! They weren't too tight but with the hot weather I was starting to panic that they *might* get too tight (paranoid much?!) I went to Kohls and bought a cheap-o ring so people wouldn't judge me (especially since I feel like I look 16)! My rings still fit so I need to decide if I should wear them to the hospital or not.
Here
is my bump at 39 Weeks..last official bump picture and LAST DAY AT WORK! P.S. I'm aware that I look like I got fried in the sun. Somehow the white balance settings on my camera got messed up. I promise I'm not a tomato in real life! :)
It seems like everyone says the last month or so goes SOOOO slow, but I couldn't disagree more. Maybe it's because it's the end of the school year and I'm super busy with trying to prep for that as well as prep for my LT sub? Either way, I'm very anxious to meet Carson but I also know that I'll miss feeling his kicks all the time. (Sounds dumb but it's such a great feeling!) I went to the doctor for my 38w appointment and she wants to set up an induction! She said my body is "obviously very ready" and since Carson's heart rate has been lower and he has been consistently measuring ahead, she would love to induce me NEXT FRIDAY MAY 18th!!! Every week she acts surprised that he hasn't come yet so I'm kind of hoping he comes before the induction date just because inductions make me nervous.

According to the Bump,
Carson is about the size of a Pumpkin! The Bump also says that baby may have "an inch or so of hair already"! I do remember the ultrasound tech showing us Carson's hair back at 33w so I'm very curious to see how much hair he comes out with! (Not to mention what color?!) Baby Center tells me that Carson is about as long as a Leek. Their size estimates say about 7lbs and more than 19.5" long. I'm very curious to see how big Carson is going to be!
Yep! I feel very lucky to still be able to wear a lot of my non-maternity tops. no. Nick mentioned that he was surprised I didn't have any the other day and I yelled at him to run and go knock on wood! If I get any now, it's his fault :)
Getting more things done at work just in case I go early. I also feel fairly satisfied with everything that is done at home. We made another trip to Babies-r-Us (we need one closer to home!) and bought a second changing pad cover and boppy cover just in case. I had 20% off coupons so why not! I also got to go to one of my best friend's weddings and it was gorgeous! I was supposed to be in the wedding but I backed out back in the fall since I didn't know what life would be like at 37 weeks pregnant. While I'm sad I wasn't able to walk down the aisle for her, I'm thankful that I was able to attend and see how pretty she looked!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Miss Anything? Still missing having a tan and I also miss having a DESK JOB. My job as a teacher (a traveling teacher at that) is becoming very very exhausting as this pregnancy goes on! I envy those of you who can sit at a desk and go to the restroom or grab a snack any time!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Movement: Sooo, after our little mishap last week (read: Carson teasing us), I was very attentive of his movement and I did kick counts just like Dr. G said I should. After our appointment Friday I counted for 4 hours and only once did I get 6 kicks. I usually got 4-5. At this point, the office was closed for the weekend so I decided to eat some dinner and see if food would help wake Carson up (I had already tried ice cold juice, peeps, and carbs). After dinner I still wasn't getting enough kicks so I called the after hours # and the on-call doctor called me back and said becaues of his lower heart rate at my appointment, she wanted me to go into L&D for monitoring. I had a quick freak-out session, but we got our things together (luckily everything was ready) and headed to the hospital. They hooked me up to the same machine as I was on earlier that day to check on Carson's heart rate. Luckily he started moving around right away (such a punk)! The nurse and the on-call doctor both said that Carson looked "amazing" so they let us go home and told us to continue doing kick counts but try for 5 instead of 6. They said that this late in the pregnancy sometimes the babies just get into sleep cycles or run out of room! I also found out that I had a few contractions while I was there. I had no idea, but they showed up on the machine alright!
At 37 weeks I only have 3 weeks until my due date! I know I'm posting late again, I wanted to wait and see what happened at my 37 week appointment today!

According to the Bump, Carson is about the size of a Watermelon! Check out my newest bump pics below and see if you agree! ;) The growth estimates are getting to be a bigger span (18.9-20.9" and 6.2-9.2lbs). I'm really curious how Carson is going to size up! Baby Center tells me that Carson is about as long as a stalk of Swiss Chard.
A few weeks ago I noticed Carson hadn't been moving as much. Silly me didn't even think to do kick counts (I wasn't sure if they were even the same at this point in the pregnancy). Earlier this week (Tuesday?) I noticed Carson hadn't really moved much at all the whole day. I mentioned this at my appointment this mornind and when Dr. G did the doppler, Carson's heart rate was only 120bpm (it's always been 140 or higher). She seemed concerned and sent me over to do a NST right away (NST = non-stress test). Basically it's a fetal monitor that monitors the baby's heart rate and contractions that the mommy may be having. Apparently I had a few contractions (I had NO idea). We had to wait for Carson's heart rate to "peak" aka get past 150ish 2 times within 10-15 minutes. It took FOREVER. Finally after we "passed" the test, we were sent home with orders to do kick counts. I have to count to see if he kicks/moves 6 times within an hour and if he doesn't, I have to call the doc.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Food cravings:
ICE (does that count?!) Throughout the whole pregnancy I've loved ice water but lately I want ice in EVERYTHING...juice, water, gatorade, anything! haha, so weird and random. One of my co-workers asked if I may have PICA, lol!
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
(Dr. G won't consider me full term until next week and I'm fine with that!) It's still crazy for me to think that I'm 8 months pregnant and that Carson could honestly come ANY day! I know this post is late but I wanted to wait to post until after my 36 week check-up!

According to the Bump, Carson weighs about as much as a Coconut. To be honest, that just makes me want to go somewhere tropical and soak up the sun by some palm trees! Baby Center is once again using a melon for comparison and this week it's a Crenshaw Melon. Anyone ever have one of those before? I'm pretty sure I have not! Baby Center also says "Your baby, almost 6 pounds and still packing on the pounds at a rate of about an ounce a day." Eeek...hard to believe I may have a 6 pounder in there already!

I caved and bought 2 new tops from Old Navy just because I had a coupon and they were on sale. I don't have a ton of warm weather stuff so I bought a t-shirt and a tank. I also still have quite a few non-maternity shirts that I can wear (thank goodness LONG shirts have been in style, haha)! <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">(scroll down for my newest bump pic!)

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Best moment this week: We went to visit with another pediatrician's office and loved them just as much as we loved the first! It's going to be a tough decision, but luckily we don't have to decide until we're in the hospital! I'm leaning towards the office we met with this past week just because they seem to have a few extra benefits (open late on occasion, overnight nurse triage service, etc.). I washed Carson's bottles and also made a list of what we need to buy from our registry so that we will be ready for Carson! I also put together his pack'n'play (scroll down for a pic)! Dr. G went over labor & delivery at my 36week appointment which was really informative and exciting! I am also starting my weekly appointments now which is exciting and also a relief...I hated waiting 2 weeks between appointments, I feel like I always have so many questions! Oh yea, and I'm dilated 3cm and 50% effaced....ahhh!! I can't believe how fast things are progressing and getting real!
Still monitoring my blood pressure at home...it's been high at home and I'm now taking it on 2 cuffs to compare. I compared it to Nick's and his was normal so I don't think the cuffs are off. I also have had some pretty uncomfortable cramping pretty far down and some sharp pains but nothing I can't handle. If I was ever in too much pain, I would call the doctor, but so far, so good! (Dr. G said my cramping was probably Carson dropping down into place and me dilating...interesting!)
Here is Carson's bed for when he first comes home! I feel so thankful that we got this as a shower gift and I'm also very excited that I put it together all by myself! Haha, it's the little things. :)
I maybe a little <strike>OCD</strike> bit of a perfectionist so it took me QUITE a while to figure out how I wanted the layout. I first went into the basement and found my rubbermaid bin full of old frames. See? Sometimes it helps not to donate everything and hoard your old decor!

I found my "floating" frames and some smaller 5x7 frames that we had in our family room before we re-decorated. I first attempted making a layout with those....

I liked the layout but I was frustrated that the sides wouldn't line up without looking awkward and I felt like I need a little more variety. That's when I found Anne Tavoletti's prints on art.com. Since they came in 12x12 I was practically forced to buy a couple new frames! I headed to Michael's since they were having a frame sale (like always) and also took along my coupon for 30% off any framing order (even sale items)! I found a new line called "Aris" that is super affordable and actually looks really nice. The 12x12 frames with matting ended up being $6/each! Here is the new layout with a few 12x12's thrown in the mix.

Next I had to decide how I was going to transfer this from the floor of our loft to the wall of the nursery. [Insert panic attack.] I knew I would be SO mad if I had to put any extra holes in the wall. Then, I remembered my BFF, Pinterest! I saw this tip on flipping your frames and using wax paper as a template and knew I had to try it.

Source: roost-home.blogspot.com via Emily on Pinterest

First, I flipped my frames, using yard sticks to level the top and bottom. I used my handy dandy pink measuring tape to ensure equal distance between frames. Being a perfectionist is so tiring!

Next I taped 3 long pieces of wax paper together and placed the large piece carefully over my frames. I used a sharpie to mark where the nails needed to go. I also did a short line on top of the top frames so that I could use that as a point to level the wax paper template.

Next I took the template and taped it to the wall in the nursery. I used a laser level with the top lines to ensure it was level and also lined up the center holes with the center of Carson's dresser. After I was satisfied it was in the right place, I put my nails in and ripped off the wax paper (possibly the most fun part of this project).

Once the template was gone, I was able to hang up my frames and admire my work! Here are the frames with the old pictures in them and the unpainted 'C'.

The C is something I picked up on clearance at Michael's shortly after we decided on Carson's name. I wanted it to pop against the wall so I decided to spray paint it navy blue. Something went wrong with my spray paint and my C ended up being textured. I asked for some honest feedback and decided to keep it this way, more unique, right?!

This is the outcome of my screwy spraypaint can....paint went everywhere!

Finally, here is the final product!! I kind of love it and can't wait to fill some of the frames with pictures of our little man!

Do you have any frame collages in your house? How did you decide on a layout and how did you install? I feel like there has to be an easier way!
It's crazy to think that Carson will be here in 5 weeks or less (hopefully)! The Bump tells me that Carson weighs about as much as a Butternut Squash...why are they always using squash as a reference!? (Baby Center compared Carson to a butternut squash back at 29 weeks!) Baby Center tells me that Carson compares to the weight of a Honeydew Melon. (The Bump compared Carson to a honeydew back at week 33...maybe they should get together to revise these silly lists!) The Bump also says that Carson's hearing is fully developed (so exciting!) and my uterus has grown to approximately 1,000x its original size. That's scary!

For the first time in weeks, I did NOT get an ultrasound so I have no real growth measurements of Carson. Let's just hope that he's still right on track in there! It sure feels like he's running out of space!

I finally got into nesting mode (I think?) at home and cleaned out the kitchen cabinets to make space for Carson, reorganized our coat closet, and organized our spare bedroom! My next step is to organize under all of the bathroom sinks so we have some extra storage space and start washing Carson's clothes!
I was waiting to figure out exactly what I wanted to do as far as wall decor and it took me a while, but I finally committed! If you missed my before and after pictures from the first stage, check out my previous nursery update from February. You can also check out the more recent nursery update from March.

One of the things that Nick insisted we get was some sort of growth chart. I told him we won't be able to use it for a little while, but he REALLY wanted one. I'm so glad we picked this super cute giraffe! (Find it for sale here.) You might also remember my DIY name art that I made a while ago from this post. We hung it over the crib and I love how simple it is!

Here is a better picture of the giraffe. It came with some grass to go under the giraffe but in order for the height measurements to be accurate, we couldn't use the grass.

I also hung up some of the decorations from the lovely shower my girlfriends threw for me! I think they look so cute in the room.

Banner and Diaper Wreath can be purchased at my friend's Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ThatsSoCuteEtsyShop

As you can see in the picture above, our bookshelf had a decent amount of books. Last week, my co-workers at my afternoon school threw me a book shower! It was so great and I'll post pics as soon as I get them! I got TONS of cute books and I can't wait to read with my little boy! I also got a ton of great books from my family shower so the shelf is even more overflowing now! :)

My sis got me this super cute artwork for my shower. (Sorry it's a little crooked in the matting.) We're going to go shopping together to pick out some frames and then I plan on hanging one on each side of the window! (Sorry about the mess in Carson's room...I have a balloon left over from my work shower and our Easter baskets in there!)

Prints can be found on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/petitcollage

As you saw above, we finally have our glider! It's a little big for the space but I'm in LOVE with how comfortable it is! Once we move it out of Carson's room, we can use it in a living area which will be so nice! It's a glider/recliner and Chip and Dixie are in love!

I also finally finished the frame collage over Carson's dresser! It took me forever to come up with a good design/layout! I also had trouble deciding what to put in the frames. The top left and bottom right are prints made by Anne Tavoletti. You can find them here on art.com. The rest of the prints are free printables I found on a wonderful blog called Sprik Space. The top middle frame has Coldplay lyrics and the others are just cute phrases/quotes. I plan to change out the free printables with pictures of Carson once we have some! :) Keep checking back for a DIY post on this frame collage!
I wasn't feeling well at all yesterday. I worked in the AM and then went home and spent the rest of the day in bed...lame! I'm feeling better today so let's hope I can make it through the work day!

I can't believe I'm 34 weeks into this pregnancy. 6 weeks (or less) left...sounds SO soon! The Bump tells me that Carson is about the size of a Durian Fruit while Baby Center says Carson is about the size of a Cantaloupe. Obviously they're only comparing weight now, but The Bump compared me to a cantaloupe back at 20 weeks! The weight estimates are saying about 4.2-5.8lbs. The length says between 17.2 and 18.7". At our ultrasound last week (33w1d), Carson was measuring 4lbs12oz and 19.4" long! Those measurments put him at about 4 days ahead. (Scroll down for some ultrasound pics!)

Durian Fruit sure is weird looking!

Sounds crazy since I was only up 18.5 last time! My doctor is pleased though since I've been on the low end of normal. Also, the nurse commented that last time I was wearing a t-shirt and flip flops and this time I was wearing boots and a coat, haha! Maybe she was just trying to make me feel better :)
This was our 3rd visit to the elective office since Carson never wanted to cooperate! This time he was finally ready (for the most part) so we were able to see his cute chubby cheeks and full lips! <3 Like I said above, he was measuring 4 days ahead! We also went to our childbirth class at our hospital and it was very informative and interesting! AND I had another doctor appointment and Dr. G is very pleased with how Carson and I are doing!
If you haven't checked out my bucket list, it's on my tabs or you can find it here.

1. Paint our master bedroom & bathroom. My mom's birthday gift to me was to paint our master bedroom. She knew I wanted it done, but didn't want to pay to have it done or do it myself. (Lazy? Yes.) She is a great painter and I love how it turned out! I didn't want to feel TOO lazy so I decided to paint the master bathroom while she did the bedroom. :) Enjoy our before & afters:
6. Get rid of antique dining room furniture. AND 7. Transform our dining room into a living room/playroom. My husband's grandparents gave us this really ornate antique dining furniture when we moved into our house almost 7 years ago. It was very nice so that we had something to fill the room, but we NEVER used it (except to store junk). Once we decided to start our family, I wanted that room to have more of a purpose so I decided it should be a living/play room. Our family didn't want the furniture back so they said we could consign it. We used a local consignment shop and got a pretty penny for all 3 pieces! (The chairs didn't match so I sold those to someone I work with for fairly cheap.) Here is a picture of the furniture and a picture of our new playroom/living room (no wall decor yet...I'm indecisive)!

The only things I had to buy for the living room were the throw pillows and the ottoman! The chairs were hand-me-downs from my mom and formerly in our loft. The side table is from our family room and the curtains are from our bedroom. I love moving things to other rooms to make it feel new again! Like I said, very indecisive on the wall decor....

10. Start our family. <3 You can read more about it in this post. Baby Carson is due May 24th and we are SO excited to be starting our family! I feel so thankful and blessed and we can't wait to meet Carson! Here is the latest picture we have of him (33w1d):
16. Take a family vacation. This past October, we went to Hocking Hills with my family. It was just a weekend trip but it was so fun and relaxing! We went hiking, sat by the fire outside, relaxed in the hot tub (not me though since I was prego), made s'mores, played games, and had fun! Here are a few pics from our trip...
18. Pay off my student loans. This is still a work in progress BUT I did pay off more than half of my loans in the past year. Thanks to working full-time (and sometimes 2 jobs) while in college, I didn't have a huge amount of loans to re-pay. I'm happy to say that I could pay off my loans by summer if I wanted. However, there is an early pay-off penalty (lame!) so I will continue to just make my monthly payments. Also - I signed up for auto-pay so for every 4 (or 6?) payments, my interest rate decreases! Very nice! :)

21. Complete a DIY project for our house. With Carson on his way, I decided I would make something for his room. I wanted it to be personal so I decided on name art. You can find my little how-to tutorial here. Here is a pic of the final product. I'll do another nursery update soon so you can see where it's hanging in the room!

That's about it for now. I'm hoping to cross off a lot more soon!
Finally! I used to pretend like I was annoyed with everyone's Instagram posts and updates but I was secretly jealous. I hate that Android is sometimes late in the game when it comes to apps (ahem, Pinterest)!

The other day, I saw this post and immediately when to download the app. I honestly don't understand it yet, but I've posted a few pics of my furbabies (duh, what else)!

Find and follow me here (username: EmilyP103) and give me some tips about this new social media I'm trying to get into!
