Classroom Update...finally!

Back to school today!  Not with the kiddos until next Tuesday but today starts our "required" time back for meetings and PD.  Already have my coffee in hand! :)

I've been working hard in both classrooms and finally have some photos to share!  I don't know if I'll ever feel totally "done" but I'm at least satisfied with both rooms for now.  Since I teach intervention at both schools, I will not have students right away because we need to assess and identify the students who will be receiving special services.  This is why I don't have any fun class stuff up yet!  To see some before pictures check here and here!

It's Ok.....

If I'm at home blogging instead of at school finishing up my rooms.  I have been there every day for the past week or two...including weekends.  Plus I'm waiting on my dining room furniture to be picked up by movers!

If I feel a little sad when my DVR fills up because I haven't been able to watch "my" shows.

If I wait until late afternoon/evening to make the bed.  Sometimes I don't feel like it or have time in the morning!

If I claim to be a neat freak, but my "office" at home is always a disaster.

If I spoil my dogs so much.......you would too if you saw how cute they can be!

If I sometimes like to say "y'all" on my blog but would never say it in real life.  It's cute online!

If I get really excited about free stuff for my classroom, even if it's just paper.  Last year I got NOTHING so ANYTHING is very exciting to me!

First of all, will someone PLEASE key me in on how to embed Google Docs in my blog!? I spent WAY too long on this and it doesn't look very pretty! :::::OCD:::: Also, if you are unable to download these files, please let me know!!

I made these the other night and wanted to share! I'm hanging the "Is your name on your paper?" sign above my turn-in bin. The money poster and weather graph are for my calendar board.

Please leave a comment if you were able to use these documents! If I'm putting my stuff out here, I want to make sure it's worth my time and people are actually able to use it! :)

1.   My most favorite birthday was    I'm really not sure.  My 15th birthday was cool because I got a limo.  It was the first time I had been in one and I was SO excited.  Sad news though: I forgot my brand new Eminem CD in the limo and left with a classical CD in the Eminem case :(  ha!  I also had a lot of fun at my 13th birthday b/c I had a joint "hotel" party with my girlfriend.  Our moms each got a room at a hotel with a cool pool and we had a fancy sleepover! 

2.  My worst birthday was   maybe my 21st since I don't remember?  I'm sure it was fun.  I guess I'll have to say any of the birthdays I didn't really get to celebrate.  It doesn't seem like a huge deal but then I always get sad afterwards b/c not only am I a year older but I didn't get to do anything about it! Woe is me, I know!

3.  My favorite birthday memory is     probably my cake every year from my momma.  Every year she makes me a funfetti cake (NOT the type with the sprinkle icing...the type with the rainbow chip frosting.  YUM, best birthday cake ever! :)

4.  The best birthday present I've ever received was   I'm not sure really...my Dyson was a pretty cool gift from my father-in-law.  Is that nerdy to say?  My hubby usually gets me awesome gifts, too! 

5.  The  best birthday present I've ever given was     This is hard to remember.  I guess you should ask my family and/or friends!  I try to do a good job with gift giving though and give them something meaningful that they'll be able to use.

6.  Birthdays are     fun.  I hate being the center of attention so I'm not a fan of sitting there and opening gifts while everyone watches.  I do like having all of my favorite people gathered in one place, though! :)

7.  My favorite age so far has been    probably the year I turned 23.  We celebrated our 1 year anniversary, we had been in our house for 4 years, our dogs turned 4, I graduated college, etc.
