I Won Something (again)!

I'm not the type of person who enters every.single.giveaway.  However, when I have the time and feel like it, I enter the giveaways I'm interested in!  I'm not the luckiest person but I'm starting to feel luckier.  You might remember over the summer when I won an amazing giveaway through Shasta Anne.  I won a Clarisonic Pro!!  I still use this thing every day and I love it...it makes my skin feel so smooth and clean and I can't believe I got it FREE! 

Well back in December I entered a giveaway on Amanda's blog, One Extra Degree.  Amanda is a fellow teacher and was giving away an assessment recorder.  I figured this would be PERFECT for me since I teach intervention.  In the mornings, I teach small group reading intervention and this recorder will be perfect to help kids build their fluency.  I also plan on using it with my third graders during running records.  That way, we can discuss the results and they can listen to how they read the story.  I received the recorder in the mail earlier this week and I can't wait to put it to use at school.  I have a feeling the kids will think it's really cool, too!

You can see a post on Amanda's blog here that tells about the recorder and she even uploaded a recording she made!  I might be able to use this to make podcasts with my kindergartners for our class website!
