I can't even tell you how long I've debated about whether or not to create my own blog. I religiously stalk other blogs, rarely leaving comments because I know they have nothing to look at besides my boring profile! I finally convinced myself that I've read enough boring blogs that I think mine may survive...hopefully!
This year will mark my first year as an official teacher - YAY! Last year I subbed and I'm so thankful to have found a job in this economy. I'm also thankful just to be able to go to the same building every day! Last year I felt like I took a tour of the city every week. School starts on Tuesday so I have one more meeting (I've already been to about 398923874) tomorrow and then I get to start working with the kiddos! My room is mostly set up but it's hard to figure everything out before the kids get there. I should probably clarify that I'm a Reading Specialist, not a regular classroom teacher. My room is the size of a rich person's walk-in closet (I wish my closet was that size) but I love it. Here are some pictures of what I've done so far....
