Happy 30th to my Hubby!

Nick and I have birthdays a week apart from each other....my birthday is July 14th, his is July 21st.  I already posted about a few things we did for my birthday here.  We had a wedding that we were both a part of in between our birthdays (you can read more about that wedding here) so we were a little busy for any crazy celebrations.  Either way, I wanted to make this birthday memorable for my hubby because it was his 30th!  Yep, hubby is 30 now.  I'm officially married to an old man!  ;)   I honestly don't tease him too much because I know he'll give it right back to me when my time comes!

Nick is really hard to buy for (aren't all guys?!) so I had a hard time coming up with ideas.  I finally settled on a pruner (believe it or not, he wanted this!) and a Keurig Coffee Maker.  He LOVES the Keurig.  He set it up immediately and already ordered a bunch of new flavors!  Do you have any favorite flavors to recommend?
Lucky for my hubby, his birthday fell during Columbus Restaurant Week this year!  We ended up going to Hyde Park and it was delicious....great service, too!  Here is a pic before we left for dinner:
I also made him some peanut butter brownies.  I used this recipe for peanut butter filling and swirled it into some box brownie mix and it tasted like Reese's brownies.  YUM!
On Friday night we went to a local bar to celebrate with some friends.  Sadly, I didn't take a single picture.  FAIL.

Saturday I set up a surprise day date for us.  We went to The Wilds in Cumberland, Ohio.  It was about 1.5 hours away from Columbus.  We've been there before for one of their safari tours, but this time we went to try out their new zipline course.  Nick was totally surprised and super excited when he found out what I had planned!  I would definitely recommend making this trip if you live within a few hours!  They have lodging if you're interested in staying overnight, too.  However, our guides did tell us that Hocking Hills Canopy Tours are just as good (minus all the animals) and much cheaper.  (Both courses were designed/built by the same company.)  I guess if you're on a budget, maybe try Hocking Hills.  We might do that during our trip down this fall!
Fashionable helmets! :)

40-50ft. up on one of the platforms.

1st zip of the day!  I did NOT volunteer to go first, haha!

FitBF

Does anyone else hate when people create acronyms or abbreviations for EVERYTHING?  I guess I don't hate it, but it bothers me....a lot.  Srsly BRB BFF I g2g 2 Tgt.  Ugh.

Happy Friday, everyone!  What are your plans for the weekend?  Tonight I'll be at the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for the wedding of one of my best friends!  Tomorrow, the WEDDING!  We're getting ready at my house starting at 8am with mimosas in hand!

Last night the hubby took me to the Wine Bistro like I had mentioned in my post yesterday.  You can pick up a bottle of wine for a decent price and then they charge an $8 corkage fee.  (The Lane Avenue location waives the corkage fee on Mondays and Tuesdays!)  We got a bottle of No.14 Cabernet since it was my birthday on July 14th!  I got the chicken pesto flatbread and it was A-MAZ-ING!  Seriously, I was impressed!  I didn't remember to take a picture of the food, but here is our vino:

After dinner we got some FroYo!!  YUM-a-licious.  This shop had self serve soft serve yogurt in a variety of flavors and then you could add any toppings you want.  They price your yogurt based on weight!  I got vanilla/chocolate swirl (boring, I know) and added marshmallow cream, hot fudge, oreos, and baby buckeyes.  HEALTHY, right?  Who cares, it was my birthday celebration!
Today I had to go pick up my hubby's tux for the wedding and guess what was right across the street?!
The Dollar Tree by my house closed a few months ago so I had to go check it out for school stuff!  I found little framed whiteboards that came with a marker (with an eraser cap), a 'colors' bulletin board set (will be great for my k kids!), some flashcards/card games, dice, and containers for browsing books!

Since it's Friday, I'm linking up with Lauren at The Little Things We Do!  P.S. Lauren's super TEENY TINY baby bump is too cute!  Head on over to her blog where she has a link to find her bump pic :)
1.   I am a (morning, evening, middle of the day person)     I would say middle of the day.  That's when I'm most awake and energized.  The evenings/nights on the weekends can be good (especially if I get to sleep in), but I'm definitely NOT a morning person!

2.  My favorite Pandora stations are   I don't have many stations so I'll just list a few: The Black Keys, Phoenix, Passion Pit, Michael Buble, Lady Gaga, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Modest Mouse, etc.

3.  3 of my "must-have" songs for a road trip playlist are    I'm not good at thinking of songs off the top of my head.  I'd say definitely some upbeat stuff like Lady Gaga for when you start to get tired!

4.  My favorite pattern is   ...it depends on if we're talking about clothes, home decor, classroom things, etc.  I love stripes right now and I also like floral prints.

5.  My favorite perfume is    This summer, I've been using Viva la Juicy by Juice Couture, Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath & Body, Princess by Vera Wang, and

6.  Rules are   meant to be broken!  Just kidding, I'm not a rebel at all.  I follow most rules but I use my best judgment ;)

7.  My most overused phrase or punctuation is   definitely "!" or "..." for punctuation.  As far as a phrase, I'd say "definitely" or "for sure".  I'm a very agreeable person :)

Happy Birthday!

Today is my birthday!  So far, I'm having a pretty good day even though I'm spending a lot of my birthday alone!  I woke up early (sleeping in didn't work...) and had a yummy breakfast and opened my birthday cards that had come in the mail this week so far!
I think the hubsters is going to take me out for a nice dinner tonight but I'm not positive where.....I'm thinking he might choose this place I've been wanting to go for a while.  It's called The Wine Bistro.  Any of my cbus ladies been there?  They have a couple locations..

I'm trying to motivate myself to go to the mall.  (I know that's pathetic that I have to motivate myself.)  I feel like if I'm not in a "shopping" mood, I'll hate everything I try on.  Help get me in the mindset...especially since I have some birthday coupons and gift cards!

I'm in a wedding this weekend so I've been browsing for some hairstyles online.........so far, these are some of my inspiration pics:

What do you think?  Any fun hair ideas?  I want my hair half up (most likely) and I would like to keep some hair "down" in front.  AKA not all plastered back! :)
